The Australian Network for Japanese Law

The Australian Network for Japanese Law (ANJeL) is an initiative of the ANU College of Law at The Australian National University (ANU) and the Sydney Law School at The University of Sydney (USyd).
The core aim of ANJeL is to promote scholarly engagement with Japanese law, especially in Australia.

Announcements

ANJeL-in-ASEAN Convenor Asst Prof Nobumichi Teramura has led with ANJeL director Luke Nottage a book project comparing "Corruption, Illegality and Asian Investment Arbitration" funded primarily by his Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). The volume is now published, including a Japan chapter, in Open Access (PDFs are downloadable for free): https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-981-99-9303-1.

A book launch conference will be held on 28 May at UBD, involving also Brunei's Attorney-General and Solicitor-General, and introducing some further comparative empirical research from the project. A re-launch seminar is planned also at the University of Sydney on 1 August 5.30-7pm including former Western Australian Chief Justice Wayne Martin.
